Problem: A company makes 850 parts. Out of which 50 got affected. If 3 parts are selected. What is the probability that the first two are defective and the third is not defective?
Solution
Probability of the 1st part to be defective is = $\frac{50}{850}$
Probability of the 2nd part to be defective is = $\frac{49}{849}$
Probability of the 3rd part to be not defective is = $\frac{800}{848}$
Therefore , the required probability is = $\frac{50}{850}$. $\frac{49}{849}$.$\frac{800}{848}$
